So the first Generation Rare for GBT11 has now been announced. And it’s Gancelot’s new form. And it is fucking ridiculous. It’s card text reads:
[Stride]-Stride Step-[Choose one or more cards with the sum of their grades being 3 or greater from your hand, and discard them] Stride this card on your (VC) from face down.
[AUTO](VC):When this unit attacks, if you have a heart card with “Alfred” or “Blaster” in its card name, Counter Charge (1), until end of that battle, this unit gets drive+1, and then, if you have a face up card in your G zone, this unit gets [Critical]+1.
[CONT](G Zone):During your turn, if this unit is face up, all of your rear-guards with “Blaster Blade” in its card name get “[CONT](RC):Resist”.
So for those of you who haven’t been reading, this card +2s for free on first stride. FOR FREE. There is no cost in the Blaster deck, there is nothing stopping you from counter-charging and quad driving on your first stride. Oh wait, I think you may not have noticed how good this is. You drive four times for no cost. No cost at all. Nothing. Hell it’s an anti-cost, it countercharges for you!
So that’s just it’s on attack, after you use it it has another extremely useful ability. It gives all units with Blaster Blade resist during your turn. So your twin driving Blaster Blade that can (and probably will) restand can’t get shut down by Denial Griffin or any other BS stuff that interacts with your board during your turn.
Think that’s all I have to say on this card. It’s really fucking good. It sets a worrying view of Bushi’s power creep though. Quad drive on first stride is really silly and if every clan gets something to that power then the game will definitely tilt (more so than it already does) to whoever has the best first stride turn wins.
